A large UK based pharmaceutical distributor came to us for a viable solution to an ongoing problem it had experienced in recent months. Our client was a national firm that distributed products to thousands of pharmacies in the UK and yet had no compact and versatile solution in place. As such, it needed a system that could actively enable it to efficiently supply those pharmacies and keep records of transactions. They hope that the system would increase the productivity of its deliveries to the various small and large businesses alike so every single one of them received the merchandise they needed.
During this particular project, the Tentacle Solutions software development team visited 6 different pharmacies to establish what was involved in the process of delivery and the subsequent recording of stock levels. We had to work with the new regulations and the client to establish a system that was easy to use but could also compile reports as and when necessary.
Tentacle Solutions delivered a Windows .NET executive desktop system. This would allow the pharmacies to work on a new and intuitive platform and, at the same time, be able to transfer information quickly and easily whenever it was required. The system would also automatically back up the data in case it was needed in the future. As such, it recorded and stored data that may have become invaluable to them in time, but that also complied with the new legislation and kept them on the right side of the law in the meantime.
